COURSE OBJECTIVE:
• Understand the benefit and structure of SAP Global Trade Services
• Explain the range of functions in SAP Compliance Management, SAP Customs Management, SAP Risk Management, and SAP Electronic Compliance Reporting
• Use the functions in SAP Compliance Management, SAP Customs Management and SAP Risk Management for import and export processes
• Use SAP Electronic Compliance Reporting for Intrastat reporting

COURSE PREREQUISITES:
Essential

• SAP129 – SAP Navigation
• TERP41 – Purchase to Pay Business Process
• or equivalent knowledge of external procurement processes in SAP ERP
• TERP61 – Order to Cash Business Process
• or equivalent knowledge of sales order processing in SAP ERPRecommended

• Working knowledge of Customs procedures
• Basic knowledge of Customs law and Foreign Trade law

• Introduction to the legal background of the functions in SAP Global Trade Services
• Overview of technical basics
• Structural basics (organizational units, master data)
• Classification (nomenclature of goods, tariffs)
• Import processes (import control, customs procedures, customs value calculation, communication with authorities)
• Export processes (export control, customs procedures, communication with authorities)
• Transit procedure for imports and exports (including communication with authorities, particularly participation in NCTS)
• Preference determination and managing vendor declarations
• Sanctioned Party List screening
• Intrastat reporting
