This 1-day course teaches IT professionals who have experience with SAP solutions how to use Azure resources that include setting up and configuration of SAP environments in Azure for virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and Microsoft Entra ID. Learners will also explore backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring of SAP systems in Azure. Learn through the application of concepts, scenarios, and procedures through hands-on labs using Azure Center for SAP solutions.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Administrators of SAP systems that run on Azure should take this course. Before taking this course, candidates should pass the Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Azure Infrastructure Solutions (AZ-305) exam and have completed training in SAP HANA or SAP NetWeaver.
COURSE PREREQUISITES:

Module 1: Modernize and explore Azure for SAP workloads
• Explore the expanded partnership between Microsoft and SAP. This partnership allows you to run fully supported SAP applications across development, test, and production scenarios in Azure alongside other Microsoft components.
Module 2: Modernize and identify SAP-certified configurations
• Learn to identify prerequisites, deployment options, and SAP-certified configurations that are available to you when deploying SAP products in Microsoft Azure.
Module 3: Modernize and examine SAP S/4HANA on Azure Virtual Machines
• Examine the Microsoft Azure architecture, and components used, when deploying SAP S/4HANA workloads and in-memory SAP HANA databases, running on Azure Virtual Machines infrastructure.
Module 4: Modernize and explore Azure for SAP compute
• This module explores the planning and design of scalable, performant, and resilient compute components for SAP certified deployments in Microsoft Azure.
Module 5: Modernize and explore Azure network for SAP
• This module explores the use of Azure network components to design Virtual networks with other networking components for scalable, performant, and resilient SAP deployments in Azure.
Module 6: Modernize and explore Azure for SAP storage
• This module explores the use of Azure storage components to design scalable, performant, and resilient certified SAP deployments in Azure.
Module 7: Modernize and explore identity services for SAP on Azure
• This module explores using identity services to design multiple authentication and authorization scenarios Azure facilitates, that includes support for a range of identity providers.
Module 8: Modernize and explore governance and manageability for SAP on Azure
• This module explores using the Azure Governance collection of concepts and services that are designed to enable management of Azure resources at scale.
Module 9: Modernize and deploy single-instance implementations of SAP on Azure (2-tier and 3-tier)
• SAP professionals need to evaluate deploying SAP solutions on Azure. This module explores the preparation for single-instance SAP HANA deployment on Azure.
Module 10: Modernize and implement high availability in SAP NetWeaver with AnyDB on Azure Virtual Machines
• SAP professionals need to evaluate deploying SAP solutions on Azure. This module explores the preparation for SAP NetWeaver high availability AnyDB deployment on Azure.
Module 11: Modernize and explore Azure Center for SAP solutions
• Explore how Azure Center for SAP Solutions (ACSS) offers secure, scalable, and reliable deployment and management of SAP workloads on Azure.

• This module explores high availability and disaster recovery support of Azure for SAP workloads, such as SAP application servers, SAP ASCS-SCS instances, DBMS instances, and SAP HANA.
Module 13: Modernize and implement disaster recovery for SAP workloads in Azure
• This module explores disaster recovery support of Azure for SAP workloads, including deployments within single and multiple Azure regions, multi-tier SAP NetWeaver app deployment in Azure, and Azure services, such as Active Directory and DNS.
Module 14: Modernize, perform backups and restores for SAP workloads on Azure
• This module explores backup and restore of Azure virtual machines and examines the steps and important considerations involved in backing up and restoring SAP workloads on Azure.
Module 15: Modernize, use the planning and deployment checklist for SAP workloads on Azure
• This module uses the SAP workload planning and deployment checklist to guide SAP deployment teams through each phase of the SAP on Azure migration process. It also includes a brief introduction to very large database (VLDB) migration.
Module 16: Modernize and explore monitoring requirements of Azure for SAP workloads
• This module covers monitoring of data from several Azure systems and to support SAP on Azure workloads with logging, analysis and reporting using the Azure Extension for SAP.
